maRriaGe? No waY!!!

80% of Malaysian Women Will Wait After 30, Says Survey…

Familiar wif dat headlines? It’z actually being quoted from an article in New Sunday Times newspaper d other day (5th March 2006). I bet each & every women or even men hev their own point of views izzenit… Amongst the Top 10 Reasons stated wuz bcoz of :

1. Career priorities

2. Lack of sexual desire

3. Infertility (a.k.a mandul)

4. Search for single & available rich husbands@ professional men that seemed to become extinct species nowadays

5. Lack of "men with quality" in the country ( men ended up to be involved in drugs, gay @ soft instead..*sigh* what a loss~)

6. Social Skills

7. Frustration due to previous failed relationships

8. Absence of family pressure

9. Men who hev inferiority complexes that did not like marrying women more qualified than ‘em ( I sense big E for "EGO" ‘ere…)

10. The lack amount of men in this whole wide world compared to women (Where have all the cowboys gone to?)

Gosh, wat a pity sight indeed..The practical thing here would seem 2 b to allow men to marry MORE THAN ONE (Poligamy) which would definitely NOT be a good solution for ME especially!!! (purposely being emphasized, geddit…*heh*)

Having a CAREER (which top the list) for me..is rather important bcoz other than it symbolizes independence, it also meant alot for women to feel an indebtness to their parents & feel the need to be financially secured to be able to contribute to the family eventually. It’s not greed that makes career a priority for women. It’s simply for self-preservation incase there’s any mishap (not dat i’m asking for any) but hey, it might juz happen,rite..such as marriage problems, husband takes another wife@ mistress (choy, touchwood!). The bottom line is, husband should not be intimidated by the fact that women wif career is now a common thing. The husband does not necessarily hefta make more than the wife. It’s now more about sharing responsibilities. If u really love one another, it will not matter who makes more…

Dun get me wrong..I’m saying this NOT becoz that I prefer to be married after 30 or not being married at all..Well, jodoh ditangan Tuhan..u neva know wen ur

time will come…I look at marriage now as responsibility. Unless men come in equal partners in a marriage, I might not be interested jus yet…I hope that men wouldn’t look at marriage as a platform for them to prove dat they are "men".

If God willing, I hope that my marriage wudn’t be too early nor too late..ard the age of 25-30 leddet (Insyallah)..& here’s y.. Marriage at an early age for me is not very promising…With the current high rate of divorce and marriages breaking down due to immature marriages,that’s something i shud ponder upon ( not to mention dat i shud really wurk on my cooking skills first to pass the "mother-in-law-gonnaB-test" wif "restu" & flying colours..*yikes~* ). Late marriage for me, cud be a problem oso…Coz i kinda fear da syndrome of; Menopause (wowo~).

Menopause = the time in a woman’s life when she no longer ovulates (produces eggs) and the production of the hormones progestin and estrogen decline. In most cases, menopause begins between the ages of 40 and 44 ( for some it begins in the 30’s).

Put it in layman’s term..The "baby-making-machine" might eventually bcome malfunctioned..which iz a pitiful sight here…coz heving offsprings wud be sooooo much overhelming wif joy i gez…. No matter wat, i’m hoping to be able to be committed someday wif my soul-mate for better, for worst, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, and in health, until death do us part..& may Allah bless US wif ONE HAPPY FAMILY!!! Insyallah…

PetRoL…$$$…pEtRoL…$$$…wHy??…HoW??

Much has happened in the last few weeks to keep the capital buzzing. Amongst it, includes the moment of gasping-breath when Government has dropped a bombshell by increasing the price of petrol & diesel by 30 cents per litre, the highest single hike in the country since cars were known as automobiles (PeRgHh!@#$%%*!!!)

Question: WHY??

Answers:  So they say..to improve the public delivery system..country’s oil reserves may not last 15 years at the current consumption rate…bla…bla…bla…

So i ges, watz being done, cudn’t be undone huh? You can howl in protest, but it’s not going to stop the "blood-sucking-fungus" from sucking up your wallet… It’s about time for M’sians to fasten up their seatbelt & gear themselves for the hard road, following the road sign that says "NO SPENDING" (yikes!).

For M’sians, it’s not only an issue of the 30 cents increase in fuel prices, but the worry that the prices of goods & services would shoot up, along with their blood pressure. Some even took advantage by jacking up prices unnecessarily, for example; there’s this one case whereby parking fee for this particular parking lot (not gonna mention names ‘ere) all of a sudden increases their parking fee using goddamn fuel prices as an issue ‘ere..& i wuz like, heloooo…wat on earth is fuel price gottado wif parking space nweh? Pretty ridiculous izzenit..(yosh!!)

Not to mention the number of ppl using public transport seems to have risen over the last few days, must be bcoz of the increase of fuel prices. Goodness Gracious~somehow or rather, i might as well be prepared for the ever-so-crowded-mixture-of-odour+aroma-kiasu ppl on the train laytah when i start wurkin’ at klcc i ges..(so help me god~). I s’pose these are amongst the road blocks I have to face when I detoured into the road of sacrifice…

*Sigh*..This is a real hard bumpy road, where every drop of petrol, every kilometer, every ringgit or even cents counts. Definitely, a driving force for me to eat less, drink less & enjoy less. Thus, giddy-up deah M’sians, apart from stretching that ringgit, we hef to samhau begin to stretch the period long enuff to maintain our petrol consumption.

Question: HOW??

Answers: 

1. Lose Weight - indeed u hefta drive light. So da less weight u & ur passengers r, da betta actually. But if u find dat it does requires alot of effort , y not put dat junk outside dat trunk instead (a.k.a remove all da unwanted stuffs from the car that consume weight).

2. Pump It - make sure tyres are not under inflated. U might wanna try to pump the tyres wif nitrogen instead bcoz it’s lighter than normal air.

3. 2-Fast-2-Stuporous - hev u ever watched a scene from 2-fast-2-furious whereby there wuz a battle btween theze 2 cars racing from a traffic light? Ring a bell? Yeah,datz wat show offs alwiz do. Gunning their engine at the traffic lights, indicating samwan 2 challenge ‘em..*Duhh~*..Tell u wat, hah-now it’s their lost (nyeh-nyeh-nyeh-nyeh-nyeh =P) coz it seems that this will burn up 4 times more fuel by doink so…which iz da best way to vapourise all the fuel quikly…So i ges all da speed racers out there might as well think twice before kerek-ing huh?

4. Cucoh-Bontot-Krete - (in other words; drive really2 close behind the front car’s bumper). This kinda apply the aerodynamics concept whereby by driving this way, less air pressure from da wind could influence the pressure required to step on the engine paddle, thus less fuel consumption required. Abaden, itz risky i shud say..betta be cautious from kissing da front car’s ass..yeah, coz it sure gonna cost more when u get into that kinda trouble (ganti rugi, beb!!).

5. Use Cooking Oil - (literally!)..yeah, good for a laugh,huh? Betta start thinking of other alternatives to substitute the usage of petrol & diesel such as Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV)…hybrid car (electricity+fuel power)..solar power(only can be used during day-time tho’) or other resources at all if dat matters…

6. Detour - with the technology evolving & usage of GIS system wif intelligent traffic system broadcast live traffic information expanding, ppl can then plan their journey, avoiding traffic congestion & plan the route where there are fewer traffic lights. This is to enable the driver to drive at a constant speed simply bcoz the car burns up a lot of fuel in stop-and-go traffic.

7. Trick-for-Treats - Knowing the tricks of filling up the fuel da right way will oso dyu good. Lesson no.1- wud be to press the nozzle slowly & smoohly rather than applying too much pressure on it, so dat the tank wudn’t be filled up wif air pressure instead of the petrol itself. Lesson no. 2- wud be the right timing to fill up the fuel. Try to AVOID filling up the fuel during day time aite..esp on a sunny weather like nowadayz..This is due to da tendency of the petrol to be absorbed easily and vapourised extensively during thiz time ard. Thus, hawaubout considering filling up the fuel during nite time @ morning instead,huh…

The choice is in ur hands… as your precious money is in your wallet.. for the time being lar… Gawd knows how long it wud last, rite~*wink*

Boogie all down@Zarif’s Birthday Bash…

Finally, that cuddly duddly lil’ fella is a big boy now…HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY BABY ZARIF RAUF!!! … One word for ya, kiddo…"BEHAVE!" heheh, u betta be..or else your aunty adeq here will spank u silly (wowo~tepon teledera plak kang.. =P). Nweh, the birthday party took place@ Zarif’s house in Bukit Jelutong- Poolside on the 4th of March 2006. Overall everything went smooth & swell during the party (credits to everyone who hev wurked deymn hard b4 & afta da party). Thank goodness~. This one-of-a-kind birthday party actually featured 5-in-1 birthday celebrations. Applaud and warm birthday wishes to all the birthday celebrators that day (Baby Zarif,Anis, Nana, Sis Mya & Aunty Rosnah). Since the birthday party was conducted by the poolside, all the guests who’s up for swimming were being asked to bring along their togs for not-so-skinny-dipping in da pool.

There was also lotsa yummy foods all laid out for the guests. There was only one thing that the guests could do after the candles blowing+cake cutting session…DIG IN!!!(slurrpppp…nyum-nyum! =P~~)

Overall everybody had a gr8 time, laughed so much that their tummy’s hurt & were sooo deymn full that their tummy could burst!!! No one could ever swap this magical moment when everyone were sitting down, chatting away, laughing 2geda, families + frenz altogether having a great time..*aww, sho schweet~~*

2006 HigHLigHTs~ (erR, sO faR Lar..)

’nuff about what i’ve planned to do diz year..lets ponder upon what i’ve done so far plak for these few months..other than doink my usual thang~ which is menternak lemak dengan jayanya (layme xcuse i alwiz use wen ppl keep askin’ me bout wat i’ve been up to since i graduated..*shesh*). The followings are some of da thingy i’ve done so far:

• Groovin’ ourselves (#punkrawkerz fellaz) throughout the new year by witnessing the band-of-the-moment; PETERPAN that has given us their all-out on a pretty solid 2 hrs plus concerto held at Stadium Merdeka (despite our long & wet wait due to the pouring rain since that evenin’. But heck, no big deal, it wuz worth it!). Even the opening bands; PRETTY UGLY & GERHANA SKA CINTA had definitely triggered us to hev a hell of a gud time dat nite, which we eventually did! It wuz a worthwhile xperience, not to mention that one of my prized posession that nite wuz Loekman’s (PP’s guitarist) guitar pick *awesome!*(credits to ben who had wurked his ass out sucking up to the band’s crew members..*attaboyy~*)

• Babysitting my dearest nephew, ZARIF RAUF (jadi bibik bentar~) since he’s been discharged from the hospital due to his breathing difficulties(poor lil’ boy~). He’s been under intensive care by all the dayangs2 at home, lookin’ afta him. We even have been assigned to a special mission to Sarawak whereby we (as the bonzers) took good care of Zarif, & brought him back in one piece..Such an adorable lil’ fella indeed..Now that he’s back in his home in Bukit Jelutong, we somehow felt the silence in the air he had filled up wen he’s around..mishh yeww,babe~

(P/S: Hepi 1st Birthday smarty pants!!Wait till u checkout wat your dearest aunties has gotten for you as your birthday gift. Hope u’ll dig diz!)

• Attended the Dean’s Award Nite in UTP for like merely 2 hrs or so..coz then i cabut lari (noty me) rite after the award giving ceremony + momom + layan live band jap (kire cukup syarat jela..). Dun intend to stay any longer nweh coz i know if i do so, surely kena soalan cepu emas from the lecturers punya; askin’ whether dah keje o not?, which i’m oledi immuned to it..So, like cabut laluuu~~*hehe, ngelat~*..Nhau, me looked forward to spend da rest of the nite wif ma valentine instead… Itz not often dat we meet each other..So y waste the opportunity den, rite?

• SYOB Programme; Some of u might be wunderin’ wattaheck iz SYOB iz, izennit? It’z simply an abbreviation of "Start Your Own Business in ICT Programme" administered by MSC technopreneurship centre. Guez u oledi get da point, huh? (ANEM + BIZNIZ - $$$ + DRAMA = GULUNG TIKAR) Aww, gee..it cudnt be dat bad izzenit..Kasi can arr~~This is actually a turning point for me..Not dat i’m sooo into da $50,000 catch or nting…It’z juz dat diz programme had somehow inspired me in a way..The inspiration to contribute to others (esp. me famiy) & make a gud use of myself..in other words; self-improvement (dun wanna bcome hampehs nmore)..This had been a worthwhile xperience for me; the knowledge learnt..the xperiences gained…the challenges faced (seyesly em-ceeing sux..nak kene jentik neh seko2 culprits yg besubahat kenekan anem nih..heheh,watchout!)..the networking established (typical m’sians’ recipee for success.."cable besar"..i wunder hau we cud even survive without it *shesh~*)..& last but not least, the fwenships bonding (cherish those sweet memoirs we had,eyy MIGHTY2 SYOBIANS; Li Sen*me roomie*, Zaza*dah kenal 10 thn,yer?heheh*, Ayu, Grace+Meera+Umair+Most Happenin’ Baby Bear *teammates of the Apprentice..big deal about the "telor pecah" thingy~wat matter most wuz dat, we had FUN, simply lovin’ it wurkin wif u guyz!*, Aizuddin*Ni lar taiko dier yer..nak kene neh!hihi*, Win, Goh, Ma’Li*penganalisis antarabangsa*, Muadz*stay sempoi,brader!* & finally not to 4get our dedicated facilitators *thanx 4 bare wif all our kerenah all diz while..tuff eyy?hehe*). Guez i definitely not gonna waste diz opportunity (yela, kesian duwet gomen plak kan~*wink*) Hopefully, i’ll make the headlines of Business Times someday!(wif positive news la of coz). First things first, betta start crackin’ ma head for bizniz ideas lar like diz *duhh* (gejala tarik rambut kembali..yikes!)

• JOB SEEKING; Yeah, diz shud be on top of the list actually..I’ve started job searching way way back after i came back from my vacation. But i guez, at dat time, i didnt really put much effort into it…Just simply relying on one-click button away thru jobstreet only..Tuff luck i gez..Not to mention the moral support (in other words; NAGGING) i got from ppl who actually cares about me…pushing+wanting me to work harder on it..yeah, indeed i’ve tried harder & harder until at last i finally got ONE interview session wif Xybase for the post of Integration Development Engineer..dun think i cud make it actually, coz i screwed up the IQ,maths & Java programming test (giler ape, tak ingat satu coding pon..myen tembak ajer..yikes!). But, hey.. dah rejeki kot, so i got dat offer, Alhamdulillah..But it juz didn’t end there…I still send summo resumes to other companies coz my faith is still there…till finally i wuz called by PETRONAS to attend a 2nd interbiu wif ‘em..at Legal & Corp Affairs Division HQ (Giler suspen masok2 da interbiu room, there wuz like a panel of four interviewers…dang!!) But nhau, cut the story short..Syukran,alhamdulillah dat I had finally made the cut…Now i’m officially declared as PETRONAS Exec. (err, not quite actually..i’ll only be reporting for duty on the 16th March..so cam lom official la sbnonye..*duhh,semangat~* =P). So itz like the end of my job seeking journey lar i gez… But nhau, i still have a lot of catching up 2 do, study dis & dat( x lari manelarr dr kojo2 programming neh)..Betta get started on preparing for wurkin’ life.. I hope i wont screw up diz opportunity…sacrifices..sacrifices..If that’s wat it takes, i’m up for it~ (no pain no gain,huh~~) =)
